泽村表示今次有如“新参者”那样带着清新的感觉加入到木曜推理长寿剧系列大家庭，对此感到很荣幸。自己虽然过去演过很多刑警角色，今次时矢的设定则从未演过。此外舞台在京都，能拍到东京拍不到的美丽景色，也能感受到在京都的人情味及风情，希望可以为大家带来不同世代也能享受的新型悬疑剧。
